It’s not just a presentation. It’s your way to get others on board with your idea.
Custom sites created to load quickly and provide your users with the best possible experience.
Beyond drafting—technical illustrations created with end user, and end purpose, in mind.
The Concept Spot focuses on design software and concept training, and can either provide written instruction or in-person training. Past tutorials have included Wordpress, HTML & CSS, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat, and Illustrator.
We work on textbooks for K-12 and college, and have done everything from creating small pieces of technical art to designing the entire textbook.
Effective communication occurs when aesthetics and usability are given equal weight, because solutions that are hard to use are not solutions.
The Concept Spot is owned and operated by Rebecca Kilimnik, a formally trained visual designer and entrepreneur obsessed with user-friendly educational materials, beautiful data, and clear and persuasive presentations. Becky regularly scours research journals to stay up-to-date on latest findings regarding visual branding, color theory, and data visualization.
Becky holds an MBA from Georgia Tech and an MFA in Visual Communications from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She has lectured at over a half dozen colleges.
The Concept Spot was originally founded in 2006 in Florida. It reopened in the Atlanta area in 2017. The Concept Spot's logo was designed by SAIC professor Jacob Ristau.
